Revival Agents Conference –Maiden Edition: 27th & 28th, Sept. 2005
In a nation where the proliferation of churches is on a rampant increase daily and on the other hand the rate of corruption, injustice and immorality also grows steadily then there is incongruity.
To merge the two scenarios together will bring those who are sensitive in the Spirit to get more confused and burdened for a nation such as Nigeria:
In 2004, in a BBC survey, Nigeria was described as the most religious country on earth and appeared on the top of Transparency International list as the second most corrupt nation i n the world. This should call for deep concern in the Body of Christ.
The fact that God has a plan for Nigeria 'is not disputable but the cunning craftiness of the devil is to erode this fact from the minds of all, including the church leaders. But one man that will not succumb to the status quo is Bishop Abraham Olaleye, who in interceding for the nation, received a revelation from God about the '7000 prophets' who are yet to dine on Jezebel's table. With this revelation, the Revival Agents Conference was birthed; a conference that gathered ministers that are dissatisfied with the ungodly romance of the church with the world and are yearning for Revival.
On the 27th and 28th of September 2005, church leaders and ministers gathered to listen to messages that are soul searching, thought-provoking and Holy Ghost inspired from servants of God such as Rev. Wale Adefarasin, the general overseer of Guiding Light Assembly Ikoyi and the present chairman of the caretaker committee of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Lagos State chapter, Rev. Sola Ore, Gen. Overseer of Love Aglow Ministry, Festac Town, Rev. Adeboye Joshua of Anointed word church, Somolu, Rev. Toyin Kehinde of Agape Generation Church, Mende, Maryland and the host Bishop O1aleye.
The Conference has given birth to a movement that meets every second Tuesday of the month to pray for the church and the nation.
The Revival Agents, as they are called strongly believes that revival can only take place when we follow the Biblical principles of confession, repentance and effectual intercession. This was witnessed at the very first Tuesday meeting of these group of ministers; there was genuine repentance as men and women knelt and laid prostrate in tears asking God for forgiveness for themselves and the nation.
At the conference, every minister was challenged to take the message of righteousness, holiness and the fear of God to their churches. Bishop Olaleye told the pastors and leaders that the politicians and leaders are watching the church. Through righteousness, the church will reclaim her lost authority and be the voice that God has ordained her to be.
